Welcome to the Inn at Bay Ledge
We are so glad you have decided to spend your much deserved vacation visiting Bar Harbor Maine and Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. It is where the mountains meet the sea shore. So much to see and do, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, whale watching, nature cruises, the list goes on and on! Click on the activities tab at the left to see more. Stroll the carriage paths of Acadia.

Now you have exercised, you have been plied with food and wine, where to stay? Of course the Inn at Bay Ledge!! The inn overlooks Frenchman Bay. Our private beach includes the historic sites know as the Ovens and Cathedral Rock. It is the perfect place for your secret elopement. You may enjoy relaxing on the porch, in the seaside hammock or sunning by the pool. Guests often see bald eagles and osprey fly by. You will always hear an array of song birds as they visit our gardens. Some of our favorites are Swainson's Thrush, Goldfinches, Chickadees and Humming Birds. The rooms in the inn have bay views, some have private decks.

The cottages, Bear, Deer and Moose originated as the Tearoom at Sunset Pines in the 1930's. They are now spacious rooms with rustic Maine furnishings made locally. They are nestled in a pine grove across from the main inn. The favorite accommodation is the Summer Cottage. It is a mere 75 feet from the cliff. It has bay views from every room. We believe we have added most every amenity you could want. Did we mention all of our rooms have feather beds to cushion you, designer linens and towels to pamper you? Start each morning with breakfast served in the sunroom or on the porch. Many choices to start your day, coffee and teas, cereals, homemade granola, Yankee Magazines favorite, hard boiled eggs, breads, muffins or pastries, and a sweet or savory entree. After enjoying your day, return to the inn to have afternoon tea. It is a time to enjoy, make new friends and relax. We hope the Inn at Bay Ledge will be you choice while visiting the Down east coast of Maine.
